Enhancing the Student Experience
Thanks to perseverance, determination, and the unrelenting support of an entire community, the north side of the Our Lady of Lourdes campus was transformed with a complete renovation of 7,000 square feet of existing space, completing the school’s long-term goal to provide a cutting-edge Health & Wellness Facility. The extensive renovation creates a new state-of-the-art facility that incorporates weight training machines, cardio equipment and strengthening spaces, and a multi-use space for performing arts and physical education programs. A new dance/yoga studio, new locker rooms, and a media classroom for PE classes and athletic teams were added as part of the school’s performing arts, physical education, and athletic components. As President Catherine Merryman notes, “I venture to state this center is unlike any of its kind in high schools in our region, servicing all students, not just athletes, further enriching our student experience.”

Focusing on same-sex education
At Salisbury, we do everything right for boys! We celebrate what it means to be a boy and have designed a school where boys succeed and tradition matters. Our unique Hilltop community develops boys into gentlemen both in the classroom and out. As a student at Salisbury, you are part of a close-knit community. From the moment you first arrive to the day you graduate, you play an important role in the life of the school. Being a small, single-sex school allows us to better foster your confidence and inspire you. Salisbury students feel comfortable challenging themselves and each other in the classroom. You will become willing to take risks in a wide range of academic subjects. Numerous resources are available to guide you while accomplishing your goals and reaching your full potential.

Making new memories
At Frost Valley YMCA, families can enjoy fun and life-changing activities in the heart of the Catskill Mountains making new memories on 5,500 picturesque acres. The wide range of activities include gliding out onto Lake Cole in a rowboat or canoe; zip-lining; trying your hand at archery; horseback riding; rock-climbing walls with challenges for all levels; and taking on hiking trails to High Falls (a great spot for photos!) or to the cable bridge. Or, if you prefer indoor activities, you can explore your creative side in arts and crafts; learn a new skill or hone one you already practice with classes in pottery, woodworking, and candle making; or unwind with a stretch-and-relaxation class. Whatever the activities, Frost Valley is devoted to providing safe family fun with activities, excitement, and enrichment for all abilities. While it’s a great way for a family to become closer or a group to bond, couples also get in on the good times at Frost Valley, making memories to last a lifetime.
