Surrounded by the splendor of the Catskill Mountains and the Esopus Creek, the Emerson Resort & Spa is a hidden treasure located a mere two hours from Manhattan. You don’t need to be an overnight guest to explore the Emerson.  Book a treatment at the nature-inspired Spa, get some retail love at The Shops at Emerson, see the Kaleidoshow at the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope, or enjoy a meal at the Emerson’s signature restaurant, Woodnotes Grille. Overnight guests can choose from the cozy comfort of the Lodge or the spacious rooms of the contemporary Inn. Dogs are welcome at this ideal road-trip getaway.

Try a new dining destination

After operating the famed Il Barilotto in the village of Fishkill for almost two decades, restaurateur, Scott Rosenberg has moved down the street to open “Il Figlio Enoteca.”  Il Figlio (translates to “the son”) is a multi-level restaurant focusing on bringing the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean to the Hudson Valley. Combine that with an expansive cocktail and wine program and you have one of the most anticipated restaurant openings for 2021!
