A visit to this church will haunt you.
Built in 1685, this celebrated church is the oldest operative one in New York State. It has remained in use since its construction, except during the Revolutionary War, when George Washington established encampment here for the Continental Army. It later became immortalized in one of history’s most iconic ghost tales and sits adjacent to the resting place of those who inspired the story.
