Locals have undoubtedly noticed a new addition gracing the front garden of an Ulster County mainstay: a massive Bigfoot statue chained to a tree. The cuddly Sasquatch fits right in with the locale’s funky aesthetic. For more than four months, Illinois-based home-and-garden company Design Toscano dreamed up the six-foot creation, painstakingly researching, casting, and shaping the towering sculpture. Crafted from resin, it’s hand-painted to most accurately resemble the enigmatic ape-like beast immortalized in sci-fi films.
Although the presence of Bigfoot-Yeti creatures has never been proven (save for that one time we dressed up our creative director in a Bigfoot costume), for centuries tribal cultures have sworn they’ve seen more than one lurking through the forests. Glimpsing a life-like replica in an idyllic Hudson Valley town could certainly lead to some thought-provoking conversation.
Can you identify the location of this hairy beast? Submit your answer to the form below. The first reader with the correct response wins a prize. Good luck!
