Beacon’s Second Saturday packs special events, art gallery openings and receptions, culinary tastings, and extended shopping hours into one fun-filled day. Many activities are free, although some require a fee.
Hudson Valley Creator Fest

Local artisans feel the spotlight at this Poughkeepsie festival. Located on the lawn next to The Crafted Kup, the event allows attendees to browse the wares from Hudson Valley creatives, meet regional podcast hosts, and listen to live music. Food and beverages will be available for purchase as well.
Rootstock 2018 Festival

May 12, 12 – 6 p.m.
Head to the scenic Beacon waterfront this Saturday to celebrate the best of music and agriculture in the Hudson Valley. The fest’s concert features performers like Sloan Wainwright, Twisted Pine, Daisycutter, and Jacob Bernz. In addition, food trucks and artisan stands will be onsite. A portion of funds raised from the day will go toward establishing emergency relief grants for New York farmers.
Innisfree Garden Special Mother’s Day Guided Tour
Innisfree Garden, Millbrook

Mom will love this insider tour through one of the most notable gardens in the Hudson Valley. Landscape curator Kate Kerin partners with her daughter, Nell Stevens, to lead participants on a 1.5-hour tour that reviews the ins and outs of the landscape’s mid-twentieth century design.
