Germania of Poughkeepsie hosts its signature 3-day event this weekend to bring a slice of Germany to the Hudson Valley. Expect to see live bands, dancers, and singers perform a variety of German tunes while vendors serve Bavarian pretzels, desserts, and, of course, German beer.

Take a trip to Millbrook on Saturday for the town’s 10th annual literary festival. Book lovers will rejoice over the panel discussions, readings, and book signings that occur throughout the day. Bring the kids for special youth workshops designed just for little readers.
Highland Spring Fest

This Highland fest heralds the arrival of spring with a full day of activities that cater to the entire Hudson Valley community. The day kicks off with a 5K race and includes community theater, shopping, live music, and even a shopping cart relay.
GARNER Arts Festival
GARNER Arts Center, Garnerville
May 19-20, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The 15th Annual GARNER Arts Festival returns to the Hudson Valley to celebrate the region’s talented artists and spotlight the historic community. Attendees can wander through the 14-acre 19th century textile mill, explore local art studios, participate in workshops, and catch live music shows. As for food, local food trucks will serve tasty eats while Industrial Arts Brewing Company and Creekside Beer Garden dole out beer and other refreshments.
