The Essentials: If you want a hip city vibe but with lots of space to spread out, Basilica Hudson could be the right fit for your wedding.
Rooms: The Main Hall can host up to 350 people for a sit-down dinner or up to 1,000 for a standing cocktail party. The North Hall, generally used for ceremonies, has tiered stadium seating and 100 eclectic chairs but can accommodate up to 220 people with additional seating. The West Wing is a larger bar area that can be used for extra social space or for your catering crew. The Back Gallery typically is rented for rehearsal dinners, as a cocktail lounge or a next-day brunch. The Loft, which is private, is great for a bridal suite.
The Vibe: Industrial chic, reminiscent of some event spaces in Williamsburg. Built in 1880, the huge converted factory screams authenticity.
Cost: Rental fees range from $7,000 to $13,500, depending on the season and spaces included. (Peak season is May, June, September, and October.)
What’s Included: 10 ft dining tables, a choice of folding or cushioned chairs, string bistro lighting, dance floor, A/V equipment, a choice of seven movable bars, three cocktail tables, and vintage couches.
Standout Features: Humongous space; gorgeous architectural details (e.g., brick walls, terra-cotta ceiling tiles, industrial windows); can easily be “dressed up.”
Best For: Couples who want an urban sensibility, those who want to start with a blank canvas to create their personal vision. Great for informal, unique, youngish, bohemian, or hipster couples and weddings.
Book at least: One year in advance.
