A Scenic Lakeside Retreat for a Weekend

Share

Overview: For couples who are looking to spend an entire weekend celebrating with their friends and family in a luxe camp-style venue, look no further than Cedar Lakes Estate in Port Jervis. What was once a camp for inner-city youth, and then a decade-long Team USA gymnastic camp, is now a sophisticated get-away “camp” for wedding parties preferring a mix of rustic elegance and the great outdoors. Ceremonies are held on The Mountaintop with panoramic views of the Shawangunk Mountains; the Outdoor Amphitheater, a secluded, pine-tree-lined deck overlooking the lake; or the landscaped Great Lawn. For the reception, enjoy the renovated barn with reclaimed wood, a wall of glass panels overlooking the lake, crystal chandeliers, and a 24-foot prohibition bar.

The Cost: Approximately $110,000, peak-season, for the entire weekend including a Saturday night wedding with 150 guests.

What’s Included: You don’t need to bring anything besides a band, décor, photographer, and a planner. Otherwise, everything else is included from Friday to Sunday: meals (catering is done in-house), full access to the property (only one wedding per weekend), ceremony and reception sites, full bar, staff, valet, lodging, and access to all on-site activities.

Standout Features: Guests have complete use of the 500-acre property, including two lakes, heated pools, hiking and biking trails, bonfire pits, and tennis and basketball courts. Fishing, boating, and field games are also popular, as well the zip-line and the notorious blob — a giant inflatable that launches you into the lake.
