Fine art wedding photographers in the Hudson Valley share their advice for getting the photos from your big day that you’ll treasure forever.
Like your venue, your wedding photographer is an investment and one of the most important choices you make. Caitlinn and Brian Ramsden are a local husband and wife team who have photographed the big day for couples at many of these venues and countless others around the world. With nearly 13,000 followers on Instagram, this dynamic duo are pros in capturing stunning and intimate wedding moments.
“On your wedding day we are capturing everything taking place around us, but our minds are in your future. These are photographs you will have forever. These are the photographs your grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beyond will have to look upon and hang in their own homes,” says Caitlinn Ramsden.
Here are Caitlinn and Brian’s advice for picking a photographer for your big day:
Research — Make sure you love the images, not just bits and pieces of the images, like the perfect wedding dress or the background in a photo.
Trust Yourself — Go with a photographer you get a great feeling from and, of course, whose images you love.
Connect — If you’re not connecting with a photographer or don’t trust him or her, he or she is probably not the right choice.
Timeline — Include your photographer in the timeline conversation and get his or her feedback. Photographers need certain amounts of time to capture all the important bits.
Your Budget — There is a talented and perfect photographer for every wedding. Balance your budget with a photographer who both fits your budget and can realistically deliver your vision.
Trust Your Gut —Your photographer will be with you more than any other professional on your day. Your intuition will know if they are the right people for you.
