With temps finally warming, we thought it was time to share Abbie and Matthew’s waterfront wedding. Manursing Island Club in Rye was the ideal light-and-airy locale, for these Greenwich natives to say ‘I do’ under a white tent overlooking the water. For the reception, “I was looking to [create] a warm and cozy feel,” explains Abbie who softened the look of the formal dining room with candlelight and floral centerpieces that had an organic, purposefully overgrown feel. A seafood-heavy menu featured a shore-appropriate raw bar, and guests ended the night with dancing in a beachfront tent lit by twinkle lights. Inspired by Grace Kelly, Abbie chose a long-sleeved lace gown from a Marchesa collection named for the style icon. “It was the epitome of what I wanted to look like on my wedding day,” says Abbie. “Classic but with a twist and lovely detail.”
