Watch This Hudson Resident Go Viral Singing Karaoke at Sam's Club

When Christina Kokonis-Viggers hit her local Sam’s Club one day, she had no idea she would become a viral sensation overnight.

Customers at a Kingston Sam’s Club were treated to the show of a lifetime when Christina Kokonis-Viggers stumbled upon an un-assuming karaoke machine. The Hudson resident went viral after a two-minute video of her belting out Maybe This Time from the 1972 film Cabaret hit more than 13 million views.

A simple turn down the wrong aisle led Kokonis-Viggers into a collection of Christmas items, including a Bluetooth karaoke machine. That’s when Kokonis-Vigger, a part-time karaoke DJ and president of the Hudson-based not-for-profit theater organization Upstage Productions, turned to her friend and said, “’We gonna do this?’ And we did it,” as she recounted on The Steve Harvey Show.

Kokonis-Viggers was invited on The Steve Harvey Show, singing a powerful version of Barbara Streisand’s Don’t Rain On My Parade, after which she received a $5,000 shopping spree from Sam’s Club, probably for all the accidental promotion she garnered. So, next time you’re at a Sam’s Club and happen to walk by a karaoke machine, don’t hesitate to show off that voice.
