Warwick Man Hits Trump With Billion Dollar Lawsuit

Yeah, we thought this election cycle couldn’t get any more bizarre, too

As if the events surrounding Election Day 2016 couldn’t get any weirder, a Warwick man recently filed a $1 billion federal lawsuit against president-elect Donald J. Trump, citing “severe emotional distress” as a result of the Trump campaign’s “intimidation, threats, and retaliation,” the lawsuit reads.

Louis Tafuto filed the suit in U.S. District Court on Monday, November 7 spelling out a lengthy list of allegations, including violations of federal laws regarding voter intimidation, violations of the 26th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing citizens the right to vote, and violating constitutional rights. Tafuto included RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, vice president-elect Mike Pence, and the Republican National Committee in the suit as well.

The 25-page complaint claims Trump’s “words and actions” have proven him “untruthful and therefore unqualified and incapable of taking an oath of office.” Even more, Tafuto, who TMZ reports is a registered Republican, says Trump strategically intimidated “vulnerable demographic groups” into believing their safety was “in grave danger under the Presidency of any of his opponents.”

If this is the same Tafuto that attempted to make the 2016 U.S. Olympic triathlon team a few years back, it seems he’s taken a much different approach to go for the gold this time.
