Can’t get enough of Borscht Belt history in the Hudson Valley? You’ll be all about this breathtaking new photography exhibit by talented local photographer Marisa Scheinfeld. Scheinfeld, who is an adjunct instructor at Westchester Community College, based her collection at Valhalla on her acclaimed book, The Borscht Belt: Revisiting the Remains of America’s Jewish Vacationland (Cornell University Press). The show opens on January 22, with a special gallery talk scheduled for January 31 at 2 p.m.

Want to get active and learn something new this year? Look no further than the Tivoli Free Library’s weekend Bollywood dance class. Open to ages 8 and up, the workshop aims to teach everyone simple, fun dance basics that anyone can master.

Break out the napkins! Hudson Valley Wingfest returns to the Mid-Hudson Civic Center for its twelfth annual competition to declare the winner of the best chicken wings in the Hudson Valley. Come hungry and ready to sample the craziest, spiciest, and yummiest wings that local vendors can concoct. We might not know who will walk away with the title, but we can promise you one thing — you won’t leave hungry at this one!
The Adelphi Hotel, Saratoga Springs

Check “learn to cook” off your new year to-do list at The Adelphi Hotel’s cooking class and wine dinner pairing on Saturday. Led by Chef David Burke, the evening begins with a lesson on how to prepare lobster four ways. After that, diners can indulge on a four-course spread that includes seared scallops and lobster, salmon tournedo Rossini, rack of Colorado lamb, and a Valrohna chocolate bomb. All plates come paired with expertly curated wine selections throughout the evening as well.

Celebrate all things vegan in the Hudson Valley at Pakt this weekend. On Saturday, the Kingston café hosts a vegan-themed bingo fundraiser to benefit Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. In honor of the occasion, Pakt will serve a special vegan menu as well. Play for prizes throughout the evening, and don’t forget to pick up a #VEGANFOR_____ sticker before you go.
