There are many ways to say “I love you” come Valentine’s Day, whether it’s with a romantic date, delicious meal, or thoughtful gift. But this year, when you’re preparing to woo that special someone, consider paying extra attention to your perfume or cologne. Scientists believe that humans can detect upwards of one trillion distinct smells, and some have even purported that smell helps us recall memories more effectively than our other four senses.
If you’re shopping for a new fragrance to don on the upcoming holiday, these locally available scents are excellent picks. Of course, perfumes and colognes are highly personal; local makers have developed aromas that range from fruity and tropical to peppery and floral, so there’s a little something for everyone in the Hudson Valley.
