Taste of the Market Dinner

Head down to the river and eat for a good cause this Thursday, when local chef Ed Kowalski, of Lola’s Café & Gourmet Catering, teams up with the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum to present the 2018 Great Friend to Kids Award to Hudson River Housing, Inc. The farm-to-cocktail event will spotlight the produce and products of the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market. Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy live bluegrass music and participate in a silent auction as well.
Highland Library Comic Fest

This Saturday, Highland Public Library journeys to a galaxy far, far away for Comic Fest. The festivities will feature local artists, authors, and vendors as they showcase everything from comic books and anime to fantasy merch and sci-fi collectibles. Local comic book shops will make an appearance, and food trucks will be onsite to fuel hungry visitors.

Beekman Community Day

Join the Town of Beekman on Saturday for a fun-filled community event. Visitors can spend the day listening to the live band, shopping from local food trucks and vendors, and adventuring through the waterslide, obstacle course, and tug-of-war competition. At night, fireworks will light up the sky.
Harlem Valley Rail Ride and Festival
Eddie Collins Ball Field, Millerton
July 22, 7 a.m.
Gear up, literally, for this early morning bike ride in Millerton. The Sunday morning event takes bikers through a horse farm, past a dairy farm, and along an abandoned railroad track as they explore the charming sights and scenes that Millerton has to offer. Afterward, riders can rinse off in the shower truck, kindly provided by the Town of Millerton.
