Three New Dog Breeds We’d Love to See

We take a crack at creating our own hybrid canines inspired by some of our favorite breeds

We’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to hybrid dog breeding. Some crossbreeds have turned out to be blended perfection, like the Cockapoo: an adorable mix of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. Or the Pit-Poo. What’s that you say? You’ve never heard of a Pit-Poo? Well, that’s because this breed doesn’t exist — at least not yet. But what if we could take cross-breeding into our own hands? Below is our wish list of the latest breeds we’d like to see cavorting at the local dog park.

Dashmation

It’s your classic firefighter dog with a twist. This spotted hotdog has the signature body of a Dachshund, but has also taken on many of the Dalmatian’s attributes: dependable and dignified, high-spirited and playful. Who knows? Your local firehouse may be be recruiting the Dashmation sooner than you think.

St. Berhuahua

So you long for a Saint Bernard but your living arrangements could never accommodate a dog of that size? Something smaller, like a teacup Chihuahua, might work better. Or you could bring home the Saint Berhuahua, an amazing family dog. Top-notch rescue and lookout skills are combined with the Chihuahua’s loyalty and loving disposition.

Pit-Poo

The wife has always wanted a Poodle. You are itching for a Pit Bull. The solution? Simply blend, of course. With our Pit-Poo hybrid mix, you get the best of both worlds: the strength of the Pit Bull and the elegant lines, size, and stylish hairdos of the Poodle. Don’t forget that both breeds are family-friendly and great with children.
