In case you haven’t been to Resorts World Catskills in Monticello yet, now there’s one more reason to plan a visit. Just in time for the new year, the destination entertainment center welcomes The Alder, a new lifestyle hotel, to its Sullivan County space. Opening on December 28, the site will be the second overnight accommodation option on the property.
While The Alder, which boasts 101 rooms, will cater to visitors who stop by the complex’s casino, spa, and dining locations, it will offer a distinct experience from the rooms at Resorts World Catskills. Named after a tree native to the surrounding Catskills landscape, the hotel takes a more natural approach to its operations, with eco-minded touches in everything from design to amenities. Open spaces take center stage in communal areas to bring a sense of the outdoors to the hotel. Inside the rooms, meanwhile, body care products from natural beauty brand Malin+Goetz are available to help guests refresh and unwind.
“Like its name, which was said to know the past, present, and future, The Alder at Resorts World Catskills will symbolize the commitment to returning the region to its roots as an iconic American destination while also helping to grow its future and expand the range of experiences we are able to offer our guests,” notes Ryan Eller, the president and CEO of Resorts World Catskills, in a statement.
As for additional attractions at the hotel, guests will not only have full access to all the to-dos at the resort proper, but they will also be able to reserve treatments at Crystal Life Spa and wine and dine at Scott Conant’s Cellaio.
The addition of The Alder isn’t the only exciting announcement to make waves at Resorts World Catskills. Also at the end of December, the Monticello site will welcome Topgolf Swing Suite and Dos Gatos, an upscale cantina-style eatery located next to The Alder lobby. Later in 2019, the destination will add The Kartrite Hotel and Indoor Waterpark, along with a Rees Jones-redesigned golf course, to its ever-expanding roster of attractions.
