QWERTY Typewriter and Letter Arts Festival

Book buffs should run, not walk to this literary festival. Imagine a whimsical assortment of paper arts, from tiny books and paper planes to typewriters and vintage advertisements all in one place. Add to that a number of music performances and short films, and you have everything you need to delight your inner bookworm.

Strawberry Jammin’

Fishkill Farms, Hopewell Junction

Celebrate the start of strawberry season at Fishkill Farms’ annual berry fest. In addition to strawberries galore, the festival will also include crafts, music, and tasty treats. The Treasury Cider bar will offer free samples of hard cider throughout the day as well.

BBQ & Brews Festival

The Roscoe Beer Company, Roscoe
June 16, 11 a.m.
 – 5 p.m.

Kick off Father’s Day weekend at Roscoe Beer Co.’s foodie festival on Saturday. There will be a craft beer tent packed with local craft brews and a barbeque tent stuffed with smoky bites. A new beer release will be announced in the afternoon as well. This event is family-friendly, and includes kids’ activities and live music and games.

The Fields Opening Day

Art Omi, Ghent
June 16, 1-4:30 p.m.

Venture over to Art Omi in Ghent for the 2018 opening of the new artwork on view for summer. If you’ve never visited the larger-than-life exhibition space before, it is well worth the visit.
