Signs of Spring in the Valley: Rockland County YouthFest

We count down to March 20 (and warmer weather) with our favorite local signs of spring

Ed.: We can’t wait for warmer weather, so from now until the official start of spring (that’s March 20 — mark your calendars!), we’re delivering our top 15 signs of spring. Check www.hvmag.com daily for more posts.

Countdown to Spring (Day 6): Rockland County YouthFest

This fun annual event allows families to interact with businesses that offer services to children and teens in Rockland County. Approximately 175 businesses participate every year and more than 5,000 people attend. Past organizations have included the Big Apple Circus, The Bossy Frog Band, Cheer Mania, and Chuck E. Cheese. Check out demonstrations by local youth performance organizations and enjoy face-painting and crafts. Teddy got a boo-boo? Bring him to the Teddy Bear Hospital for some fixin’! Children under 18 also have an opportunity to perform in the Rockland Youth’s Got Talent show (send in a 20-second video to RocklandYF2015@gmail.com before March 15). The best part? It’s all free.
