Shamrock Run

The Shamrock Run precedes the 27th annual Kingston St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Runners should line up on Albany Avenue — rain or shine — 10 minutes prior to the parade kickoff at 1 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for various “Best Of” categories, like “most runners wearing a kilt.” One lucky grand-prize winner will receive two round-trip tickets to Ireland!

Run for the Gold 5k
Montgomery’s Run For the Gold 5K takes place on March 21

Run For the Gold 5K

Montgomery’s third annual St. Pat’s Ramble and Parade starts at 1 p.m. but those who arrive by 10 a.m. can participate in the Run For the Gold 5K race around the village. This year, proceeds benefit The Backpack Snack Attack Program, an organization that helps feed children in the need in the community. Stick around for the raffle.

Shamrock Scramble 5K

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the annual Shamrock Scramble 5K steps off two days after the official start of spring — even more of a reason to get into the swing of the season! Walk or run, this 5K is sure to get adults and children eager for more warm weather activities. A complimentary breakfast follows for all registered walkers and runners.

Miles of Hope Family Fun 5K Run/Walk

Walk, run, or support a team at the 12th edition of this 5K, presented by Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation and the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club. There’s music and face-painting, and raffles are held after the race. All proceeds go to breast cancer programs in the Hudson Valley that Miles of Hope supports.
