Fall Crafts at Lyndhurst

Now in its fourth decade, Lyndhurst’s fall crafting celebration settles in at the picturesque Tarrytown estate this weekend. The family-friendly event brings together dozens and dozens of talented Hudson Valley artisans, as well as a number of gourmet food and drink vendors. If you want to get a head start on holiday shopping and support local businesses, this is the place to do it.

 

Hudson River Craft Beer Festival

Riverfront Park, Beacon

Beer lovers in the Hudson Valley have been counting down to the return of the sixth annual Hudson River Craft Beer Festival since the last one wrapped a year ago. This Saturday, more than 150 releases will pour from the taps of some of the best craft breweries in America. In addition to all the beer you can imagine (and then some), there will also be live music, flavorful eats, and classic festival games like Kan Jam and corn hole. Get a VIP ticket if you want to score early access at 12:30 p.m. Otherwise, join the general guzzling crowd at 1:30 p.m. for an entertaining afternoon in Beacon.

 

Fall festivals at the farms

With the official autumn start date right around the corner (it’s September 22), local farms get a jumpstart on fall festivities with fresh produce, hayrides, and apple cider donuts galore. On Saturday and Sunday, Barton Orchards rings in apple picking season with its community Apple Festival. Fishkill Farms, meanwhile, loops music and family fun together at its Fall Harvest Festival. STAX of SOUL USA takes the stage at the fest on Saturday, while The Miller Brothers play a few tunes on Sunday. Also this weekend, Kesicke Farm hosts a Fall Festival, complete with a corn maze wagon rides, live animals, and more.
