Poughkeepsie's Newest Farmers' Market Will Brighten Your Mondays

Visit the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market on Monday evenings through October.

The Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum now boasts another great reason to pay a visit. Dubbed the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market, its outdoor bazaar launched on June 5, marking the beginning of its very first season. The market will operate every Monday through October 23 between 4 and 7:30 p.m. at The Pavillion.

The market will offer poultry, produce, bakery items, and other goods from various Valley purveyors, with the goal of making farmed goods easily affordable and attainable to all urban residents. Meet the vendors behind local Wrights Farm, Oliver Kita Chocolates, Noble Foods Farms, Sweet Sol Argentinian bakery, Soukup Farms, and many others. The Poughkeepsie Plenty Fresh mobile market will also be a weekly regular, and as a SNAP and WIC Farmers Market Nutrition program participant, it offers sufficient nutrition to all who seek its services.

Managed by the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, the market offers free onsite parking with overflow parking at nearby Waryas Park. And with easy access to the Poughkeepsie Train Station and Walkway Over the Hudson, the market might just make you resent Mondays a little less.
