Plan Your Travels: Expect a White Christmas

Mind your meteorologists; parts of the Valley may be in for snow Christmas Day.

Keep your eyes on weather reports while you’re packing up your cars this weekend. A massive storm complex currently charging across the continent from the West Coast is expected to pass over our area right in the midst of prime holiday travel windows. The latest update predicts a 50 percent chance of snow during the early part of the day on Christmas.

Friday and Saturday, as conditions develop, some warmer areas may only see rain, while colder regions could receive as much as three to five inches of snow.

If possible, strap on the snow tires, show up to your flights early, and budget in some extra travel time this weekend. If, however, you are the destination, we highly suggest preparing plenty of hot beverages for your cold and tuckered arrivals.
