On May 10th at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, we celebrated the Hudson Valley’s top nurses at the Excellence in Nursing Awards. More than 250 attendees gathered to honor this year’s remarkable nurses. We honored their achievements, dedication, and hard work by giving certificates to all 93 remarkable nurses. Publisher Ralph Martinelli and Associate Publisher Jack Driscoll also handed out plaques to our Top 20 Nurses and one 2017 Top Nurse award to Lise Crapella of Good Samaritan Hospital.

More than 500 guests attended the Four Star Salon Services and Belvedere Red “Hairdressers’ Disco Ball and Fantasy Hair Show” on Sept. 9 at Shadows on the Hudson in Poughkeepsie. The runway show raised funds to support ARCS, the Valley’s oldest HIV/AIDS service organization.
