What would summer in the Hudson Valley be without the one-of-a-kind Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome? This museum of World War I and other pioneer aircraft and antique automobiles is kicking off its 57th season on May 16. Watch these period planes take to the skies during regular weekend shows or check out the museum, where you can view grounded plane displays.
If you really want a piece of the action, hop in a biplane (they seat four) and take a spin around the Dutchess County skies. $3-10 weekdays, $5-20 weekend air shows. 845-752-3200; www.oldrhinebeck.org
