It’s safe to say the world has changed considerably since Dr. Manoj T. For one, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has necessitated global support of the latter nation, whether it be in the form of food, funds, or—in the case of Dr. Abraham—facial reconstruction surgery. An expert on the rejuvenation of the face and neck, he completed a mission trip with fellow otolaryngologist Dr. Augustine Moscatello last September, treating over 30 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians; one patient was only five years old. Dr. Abraham returned to Ukraine in April, at once treating wounded soldiers in Lviv and training Ukrainian surgeons in highly specialized medical techniques. “Our team was incredibly impressed by the resiliency of the Ukrainian people, with many of the patients’ intent on returning to the war effort despite their severe injuries,” he reflects. “It was an exhausting but incredibly gratifying experience.”
The award-winning surgeon is also making waves here in the Hudson Valley, albeit on a lighter note. After 47 years in business, Marlene Weber has shuttered her salon and day spa; subsequently, she has transferred her nearly 40,000 clients to Dr. Abraham.
