'NY Times' Poll Shows Perception of Race Relations Worsening

Where do you fall on this timely and sensitive issue?

A poll conducted by The New York Times and CBS this past Friday, the day after five police officers were killed in Dallas, reports that 69 percent of Americans view today’s race relations as generally bad. Additionally, 60 percent say that race relations are growing worse, a number that is 38 percent higher than just a year ago, demonstrating racial discontent is at an all-time high since the beginning of President Obama’s term in office.

According to the study, more than half of black people, and nearly half of white people, say they were not surprised by the Dallas attack. This alone provides commentary on our perception of the growing tension between police and public, but where do you stand on the matter? Do you think race relations are growing worse?
