Some may say Rashad Jennings is a triple threat. As a former New York Giants running back, season 24 champion of Dancing With the Stars, and author, the man has quite the resume. Yet that’s only the half of it. Jennings is also the founder of the Rashad Jennings Foundation, which strives to help youth reach their goals even in the face of adversity. From 2 to 7 p.m. on August 4, his foundation partners with local Pennings Farm Cidery to host the Running Back to the Farm event.
The day will feature food, music, specialty drinks, and activities for all ages. Attendees can try wood fired pizza from the Pennings Farm food truck while they sip on hard cider made right at the farm and listen to the Black Dirt Bandits. Additional musical guests perform throughout the day, accompanying the food, beer, wine, and cocktails from around New York State. Giants fans can win tickets and field passes to a game, signed memorabilia, and more during the raffles and silent auctions. Throughout the day, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Jennings on the farm during his meet and greet sessions. All proceeds from the auction and raffle will go to the Rashad Jennings Foundation.
