Tying the Knot in Industrial Style at Basilica Hudson

The newlyweds wanted something unique they could make their own.

Basilica Hudson is one of the Hudson Valley’s truly unique venues. A foundry-turned-wedding venue, it boasts tons of charm and total flexibility. That meant it was perfect for Christina and Paul, who knew they didn’t want to tie the knot in a hotel ballroom. “We wanted something unique that we could make our own,” says Christina. “By the time we left [Basilica Hudson], we knew we did not want to get married anywhere else.” To emphasize the venue’s natural charm, the couple kept the decor simple and brought in small trees and greenery to soften up the industrial feel.

What’s Your Best Advice for Couples Planning Their Wedding?

If you don’t have a wedding planner, a day-of coordinator is a must. You never know what’s going to go wrong, and it’s nice to have help so the two of you can focus on other things.
