Scenes From the Peaceful Protest in Beacon

The June 1 march in Dutchess County called to attention the death of George Floyd and the demand for racial justice in the Hudson Valley.

On Monday, the City of Beacon held a peaceful protest to shine a light on racial injustice in the nation. The march follows in the footsteps of similar ones in Albany, Kingston, Monroe, New Paltz, Nyack, and Poughkeepsie over the past few days. Hudson Valley photographer Anthony Sarcone was on the scene at the event, and he captured these moving images from the day.
