The Capital Region hosted a guest of historic proportions on Sept. 21 when President Obama delivered a speech on education at Troy’s Hudson Valley Community College. The school‘s commitment to training students in state-of-the-art technology demonstrates how community colleges can help re-equip America‘s workforce for the 21st century, Obama told a small crowd of students and dignitaries. “The campus is definitely still buzzing about the President‘s visit,” says Paula Monaco, the school‘s director of communications. “I think we will be for years.”
