Compelling conversation about food and beverage: Check.

Advice for unlocking the secret of life itself: Yep, check that, too. (Well, sort of. If you — like us — take ‘secret to life’ to mean ‘secret to making the pasta dishes of your dreams in almost the same time it takes to boil water.’)

Consider your plans to slip into the weekend sorted.

Head to Brunette in Kingston this Friday evening to join former Director of Special Projects at Bon Appetit and resident of Columbia County, Colu Henry. She’ll be hanging out from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m to read from her best-selling book, Back Pocket Pasta, and talk the ins and outs of wine and food with fellow kick-butt culinary hero and the Editor and Chief of Punch, Talia Baiocchi.

The ladies will linger for a bit afterwards to drink, chat, and sign books (which will be available for purchase, if you haven’t memorized bought your own copy yet), too. This is a unique opportunity to meet two leading females within both culinary and media industries, and the fact that there will be plenty of interesting pours at the ready really qualifies this event as a can’t miss.
