If you haven’t noticed, everything is cancelled. Unfortunately, the Hudson Valley’s music industry is no exception. Mountain Jam: cancelled. Stereolab at BSP Kingston: postponed. The list goes on. It’s unfortunate, but at the end of the day we’re all doing our civic duty by staying home to hinder the spread of COVID-19.
On the bright side, there is a way to perform your civic duty and still get a dose of your favorite Hudson Valley musicians: live streaming. (They can’t cancel a good ol’ fashioned Couch Tour!) So get comfy, grab some food and drinks, and tune into these live-streamed concerts and performances coming out of the Hudson Valley.
Due to the changing nature of the business shut down, streams are often announced last minute, so stay close to this page — we’ll keep it updated as we find more streams and dates.

Radio Woodstock Sofa Sessions
Sofa Sessions happen every Thursday on Facebook Live at 7 p.m. during which time Radio Woodstock features three local artists, each playing 20-minute sets. The station has also invited Hudson Valley chef Ric Orlando to go live periodically with cooking demos, with upcoming dates to be announced soon.
The Capitol Theatre and Relix Magazine
Port Chester’s The Capitol Theatre is working with Relix Magazine to put out music streams multiple days each week. On Monday, March 30, tune into pre-recorded broadcasts of The Marcus King Band performing at Brooklyn Bowl Williamsburg and Las Vegas. They’ve had a few other streams this past week, so stay close to their social channels for forthcoming announcements.

Allison Leah
This up-and-coming folk-pop songwriter has two live music streams on the horizon. Catch her on Instagram Live on April 2 at 3 p.m. and April 9 at 7 p.m.
Orange Julius
The White Plains-raised jazz multi-instrument and composer has two upcoming free-of-charge web streams on Saturday, March 28. One is on the Tarrytown Jazz Forum’s Facebook at 7-7:30 p.m., while the other’s time is TBD, but will be streamed on Instagram as “Couchella,” featuring The Voice’s Jackie Foster, Miette Hope, and more.

Tarrytown Jazz Forum
The Tarrytown Jazz Forum hosts Jazz Forum @ Home live streams every Saturday on Facebook at 7 p.m. Stay close to its Facebook page or subscribe to the newsletter for more info on specific artists.
Caramoor
The Katonah-based music and arts center partnered with Music Never Sleeps NYC to bring a 24-hour marathon of original artist-produced content and performances starting on Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m. on Youtube and Facebook Live. The live stream will be moderated by artists throughout the 24 hours, including names like Edward Arron, Timo Andres, The Knights, Aoife O’Donovan, and Bela Fleck.

Rebecca Haviland
Grammy-winning songwriter Rebecca Haviland will post a “Late Morning Coffee And Tunes” video every Sunday around noon on her Instagram page.

The Chance
Poughkeepsie’s The Chance has been very active on Facebook, sharing pre-recorded concerts from the venue’s past, as well as the Facebook Live sets of local artists in its newsfeed.
Basilica Hudson
The Hudson-based arts center doesn’t have any scheduled streams as of yet, but the official statement promises remote, streamed programs in the near future, starting with the music and arts festival 24-HOUR DRONE.
Basilica Hudson was reached out to for comment but has not yet responded at press time.
Angry Orchard
Beloved for its warm weather music and weekend events, Angry Orchard keeps its live music scene alive with The Stay Home Sessions. Running through April, the sessions support New York musicians who perform live sets for the Orchard’s Instagram TV. The lineup kicked off with Dan Brothers Band and includes Audrey Nuna on April 17, Yellsmiles on April 23, and Sarah Barrios on April 30, to name a few. For each clapping hands emoji on The Stay Home Sessions social posts, Angry Orchard will donate an additional $1 to supplement its $75,000 donation to Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.
