Hudson Valley Summer Camps Guide 2015

The Valley is chock-full of summer camps for all ages. Here are a few of the most popular — and unique — programs

Summer may seem light years away in this cold weather, but now is the perfect time to start thinking about summer camps. Spring will come and go and, before you know it, your kids will be out of school looking for something to do. To keep your little ones (and teens) occupied, sign them up for a day or sleep-away camp. There’s something for everyone; adventure, arts and theatre, sports, science and nature, and animal-related camps are all just a click away.

Adventure Day Camps

Rosmarins Day Camp

This full service day camp has been family owned and operated since 1949. Campers are picked up and dropped off at their homes free of charge. The camp has 60 acres of property for kids to enjoy sports or just run around, while the 150 acre lake is perfect for a summer swim. Campers can also learn how to fish and boat on the lake. Field sports (like soccer, kickball, softball, and volleyball), individual sports (tennis and archery), and creative activities (cooking, music, dance, arts and crafts, and ceramics) are all offered. New programs for this year include gymnastics, jewelry-making, and an edible food garden.
