Mountain Jam Isn't Coming Back to Hunter Mountain This Year

After 14 years, the beloved Hudson Valley music festival finds a new home.

2019’s only just begun and we’re already bringing you a bit of bad news: Mountain Jam isn’t coming back to Hunter Mountain this year.

Hunter Mountain announced in a Facebook post on February 1 that “the organizers of Mountain Jam, which is now under new ownership, informed us that after 14 years the festival will not take place at Hunter Mountain in 2019.”

The festival’s website simply has a note stating more info is to come and, as of this morning, information, photos, and other media from previous years are no longer available. Mountain Jam’s social pages present a similar message: “Stay tuned Jammers … 2019 lineup + info coming soon!”

Over the last 14 years, the music festival brought tens of thousands of music fans to Greene County to see groundbreaking acts like alt-J, the Black Keys, and even the Allman Brothers Band in 2014. This would have been the event’s 15-year anniversary at Hunter.

“While we are disappointed to see the festival move, we would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to the many supporters who made Hunter Mountain a successful Mountain Jam venue for more than a decade, including our loyal customers, the Town of Hunter and Greene County,” reads Hunter Mountain’s February 1 announcement.
