Zena asks:“I have a perfume that I wear all the time and that I love. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t wear it on my wedding day?”Dear Zena: I would stay away from wearing anything with a fragrance during your ceremony, just in case anyone in the wedding party is allergic to it. You wouldn’t want your ceremony to be interrupted by people sneezing. To play it safe, I would put the perfume on after the ceremony. Also keep in mind that most body lotions, deodorants, hairsprays, bath oils, and/or body powders have fragrances added. If you have an allergic group, go for fragrance-free products for the ceremony. As an aside, when you wear a signature fragrance at anytime, make sure it is the same scent as those of the other products you use, or they will compete with one another and create an unpleasant result. To submit your own question to “The Wedding Guru,” add your comment to the box below or send an email to judy@hvmag.com.
