The waterfront town of Nyack has something special.
Nestled along the Hudson River in Rockland County, this destination is a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of city life. Shopping day trips, hikes in the lower Catskills, and exploration of the Hudson Valley’s history of renowned artists await through a stay at the Hotel Nyack.
Once known as The Time Nyack Hotel, the Hotel Nyack joins Hyatt’s Joie de Vivre lifestyle brand. After a year-long renovation, the property has been completely transformed. Fostering “the joys of life,” Hyatt JdV hotels and inns celebrate the spirit of playful jaunts through eclectic neighborhoods.
“At Hotel Nyack, guests are able to immerse themselves in the vibrant town that offers art, culture, history, and nature,” says Lawrence Bain, managing partner of Juniper Capital Partners, the real estate investment firm behind the hotel. “With a commitment to the Nyack community and our guests, we were drawn to Hyatt’s Joie de Vivre playfulness and deep respect for its neighborhoods and Real Hospitality Group’s industry leading performance. We believe installing these two groups as an extension of our team will bring a bright, successful future for the hotel.”
Hotel Nyack’s exterior is distinctly unique. The former Hudson Valley factory building now has a sleek, modern look, with bits of brick stone still peeking through. Right away, it’s apparent that this gorgeous escape bridges two worlds, those of urban luxury and upstate creativity. According to Justin Bain, the director of brand management for Juniper Capital Partners, Nyack’s locale is ideal for weeknight getaways and full weekend excursions alike.
“Hotel Nyack serves as a reflection of the Nyack neighborhood, embracing the same values and ideals of the village. The guest experience will be centered around the artistic vibe of the Hudson Valley and [specifically] the cultural experience of Nyack,” Bain says.
In addition, Juniper Capital Partners has appointed international hospitality management company Real Hospitality Group, Inc. to oversee the operations of HotelNyack. A destination for locals and visitors to Rockland County alike, Hotel Nyack ensures its hospitality programming takes inspiration from Nyack itself. During a stay, guests can visit the Edward Hopper House, stroll along Nyack Beach State Park, or hit Main Street for first-rate shopping.
So what does an overnight escape at Hotel Nyack entail?
The 133-room hotel offers upscale loft-style stays and unbeatable Hudson River views. Impressive 11-ft vaulted ceilings and works of art from local creatives create an exciting and comfortable environment. Guests will hardly believe Hotel Nyack was once an industrial landmark after spending a night inside one of 10 spacious suites. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of these rooms is their private balconies, which offer panoramic looks at both glistening river golden hours and the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.
Part of Hotel Nyack’s allure is an abundance of event spaces. When larger happenings return to the Hudson Valley, guests can explore seven separate areas (totaling almost 7,000 sq ft). Eye-catching artwork, ornate interior décor, and fabulous furnishings set the stage for engaging programming to come. State-of-the-art enhancements like projectors and surround sound only sweeten the deal. This destination will host corporate gatherings, family reunions, and weddings seeking a special Nyack flair.
