The Orange County village of Highland Falls, with approximately 3,842 people, is best-known for its proximity to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, which draws a regular stream of tourists to its cute Main Street. The village was also the inspiration for Billy Joel’s “Summer, Highland Falls,” where Joel lived during the 1970s.
