Here's Where to Spend New Year's Eve in the Hudson Valley



As December days fly out the window, the countdown to 2020 is officially on in the Hudson Valley. Locally, New Year’s Eve parties are just the thing to ring in the new year in the region. So while you may be knee-deep in holiday menus or snowy driveways, take a few moments to plan where you want to be when the clock strikes midnight. Whether the answer is on the dance floor or at a romantic retreat with your honey, you’ll find a little something for everyone in our Hudson Valley party guide.



1915 Wine Cellar

8 p.m. – 1 a.m., $89

Have wine and a good time at 1915 Wine Cellar’s pre-2020 party. The beautiful Poughkeepsie wine bar invites guests to arrive in their festive finery for an evening of music and dancing to tunes by Jillian and Erol from the Tonebenders. 1915 will serve house-made hors d’oeuvres for nibbles throughout the night, with free bubbly and a full wine and beer menu on deck as well. Once 10 p.m. rolls around, DJ Tavo lights up up the space with beats made for dancing into the next decade.


Anthony’s Pier 9

7 p.m., $120
New Windsor

Anthony’s Pier 9 brings the party to New Windsor with a 1920s gala that loops in music, cocktails, and appetizing eats. Music Speaks Volumes Entertainment brings the tunes, while the eatery provides the prohibition martini bar ice luge (yes, really). Get ready to ‘gram the Pacific Rim dumpling and noodle bar and top-shelf open bar offerings. At midnight, champagne and noise makers ring in the new year. All guests can go home with a bite from the breakfast to-go station or, if they’re so inclined, take a complimentary shuttle to Homewood Suites by Hilton.


The Beekman Arms

9 p.m. – 1 a.m., $150/couple

In honor of New Year’s Eve, the historic Beekman Arms hosts an all-inclusive fest beginning at 9 p.m. The price per couple includes access to the open bar, a champagne toast, and hors d’oeuvres. For guests who want to stay the night, the hotel has limited rooms available for $499 per couple.



Cedar Lakes Estate

7 p.m. – 1 a.m., $225
Port Jervis

For a food-filled New Year’s Eve fest, look no further than Cedar Lakes Estate. The breathtaking Port Jervis venue goes all out for the last day of 2019 with a six-course chef’s tasting menu that features a medley of luxury ingredients along with bits from the Hudson Valley’s bounty. Did we mention there’s also a full bar and a midnight toast? 



8 p.m., $20-30

This year, Colony Woodstock brings rocking tunes and top performers to the annual festivities. The show opens at 8 p.m. and includes returning musicians like Chris Wells along with special guests set to appear throughout the night.



Dutch Ale House

10 p.m. – 1 a.m.

As part of the New Year’s Eve festivities in the Village of Saugerties, the Dutch Ale House extends its hours all the way to 1 a.m. The regular menu is available until 10 p.m., with late night food and drink specials on offer into the wee hours of the evening. As for tunes, The Band Innocent grooves with guests beginning at 10 p.m.


Fuchsia Tiki Bar

9 p.m. – 1 a.m., $75
New Paltz

Trust Fuchsia Tiki Bar to throw an epic NYE bash. Starting at 9 p.m., the New Paltz venue opens the bar – and keeps it open into 2020. Add in a champagne toast at midnight and complimentary hors d’oeuvres and appetizers, and Hudson Valleyites have everything they need to celebrate the new decade.



6 p.m. seating $150/person, 9 p.m. seating $175/person; wine pairing additional $100

A must for foodies in the Hudson Valley, Goosefeather’s dinner is a multi-course affair filled with decadent bites from Chef Dale Talde. During both seatings, to-die-for dishes like waygu tartare, crispy duck, and coconut cake delight diners, who can stick around afterward for bourbon and cognac by the fire pits. At the 9 p.m. seating, Chef Dale hits the dining room floor to push the dim sum cart and lead the champagne toast at midnight.



The Grandview

7 p.m. – 1 a.m.; $125

The Grandview’s New Year’s Gala is a must for Hudson Valley party-goers who crave top tunes and decadent food and drink menus. Beginning at 7 p.m., the Poughkeepsie venue opens with a cocktail reception that segues into buffet-style appetizers and an elegant seated dinner. Taste specials like made-to-order savory crepes, a Pacific dumpling and noodle bar, and butternut squash ravioli before midnight, then celebrate the new year with dessert and goodbye treats like breakfast croissant sandwiches and mozzarella sticks. If you’d rather overnight it than drive home when the clock strikes midnight, book a room at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. A complimentary trolley service to the hotel makes the deal even sweeter.



Liberty Street Bistro


Liberty Street Bistro brings gourmet dining to its annual New Year’s Eve Bistro Bash. While details are yet to be announced, last year’s shindig included top-notch canapes, a raw bar, a dessert spread, and, of course, a champagne toast at midnight.


Lydia’s Cafe

7 p.m., $20 and up
Stone Ridge

Beginning at 7 p.m., Lydia’s offers a few different party options for its New Year’s Eve fest. Guest can choose between dinner or dancing only or go all in with the three-course prix fixe dinner and champagne toast. Hudson Valley band Soul Purpose will be onsite for music-making all night long.


Mill Creek Caterers

8 p.m. – 1 a.m., $115
Hopewell Junction

For its annual year-end party, Mill Creek Caterers opens the bar, passes the hors d’ouevres, and treats diners to scrumptious food and drinks all night long. Come dressed to impress, since cocktail party attire is recommended for the 2019 bash.


The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel – SOLD OUT

7 p.m. – 1 a.m., $155

Ready to party away on the last night of 2019? Look no further than The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel for dinner, drinks, and dancing into the new year. The top-shelf bar remains open the entire evening, while party favors and a champagne toast mark the arrival of 2020 at midnight.



Putnam County Golf Course

8 p.m. – 1 a.m., $118.80

Putnam County Golf Course treats guests to a grand end-of-year gala on December 31. In addition to an open bar and full buffet by Homestyle Caterers, the venue keeps the party hopping with music by Whoz Ya Daddy and a live broadcast of the celebration in Times Square.



The Roundhouse

5-9:15 p.m., $80 and up

For a picture-perfect New Year’s Eve in the Hudson Valley, reserve a place at The Roundhouse’s evening dinner. With two seatings, beginning at 5 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. respectively, the Beacon eatery offers multi-course menus with the option of adding on a wine pairing. Not only is the food divine, but the fireplace setting and the waterfall views add to the intimate, romantic atmosphere.




Seatings begin at 5 p.m., $69

Terrapin brings the bells and whistles for its prix fixe three-course dinner celebration. The eatery forgoes its regular menu in favor of a curated one that favors indulgent treats like goat cheese wontons, blue cheese-crusted filet mignon, and butter-poached lobster tails. If this dinner party is calling your name, don’t wait to make a reservation. With a prime location in the heart of Rhinebeck, Terrapin is a hotspot for year-end festivities.


Tilly’s Table – SOLD OUT

7:30 p.m. – 1 a.m., $118.80

Presented by Homestyle Caterers, this New Year’s Eve Gala has it all. On top of the open bar and full buffet, Tilly’s Table makes the night extra special with live entertainment by Soulmates, a champagne toast, and a live broadcast of the Times Square spectacle.


Villa Barone Hilltop Manor

7 p.m., $140

On December 31, Villa Barone invites guests for a sparkling year-end party in the Hudson Valley. A cocktail hour kicks off the festivities, while a four-course sitdown dinner follows. Add to that an unlimited open bar, a champagne blast, and party favors at midnight, and guests have everything they need to ring in the new year in style.
