Grace VanderWaal Tunes Up For Likely 'America's Got Talent' Win

The 12-year-old Suffern singer/songwriter is considered the favorite to be named season 11 victor later tonight

It feels as if an eon has passed since the likes of Justin Bieber began stumping for 12-year-old Suffern singer/songwriter and ukulele-toting phenomenon Grace VanderWaal. But finally, her big moment may arrive at 8 pm tonight, when America’s Got Talent names its season 11 winner. And if early speculation is any indication (what other kind is there?), this preternaturally gifted Hudson Valley girl will be a millionaire by day’s end, and global sensation not long after that.

Sadly, voting closed several hours ago, so if you haven’t already cast your ballot in support of VanderWaal, then: A. Shame on you, and B. You probably had better things to do, but you should really watch the finale and root for her anyway, because she’s incredibly gifted and sweet.

Don’t believe us? Check out what all the fuss has been over by viewing her show-closing performance last night of an original song titled “Clay.” Fitting, as AGT may well have helped mold the pride of Rockland County.
