To celebrate National Disability Awareness Month, The Black Rock Forest Consortium is going the extra mile to provide everyone access to the outdoors. The nonprofit agency, which manages the nearly 4,000-acre Black Rock Forest in Orange County, has implemented a fully ADA-accessible trail with views to the Catskill and Shawngunk Mountains. For the first time, the physically challenged, the elderly, and even parents pushing strollers can marvel at the beauty of the Hudson Valley in a way they never have before.
