Employees of Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the Hudson Valley spent time working with two local organizations this past spring, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and Volunteer New York!, to build a zip line at the Girl Scouts Rock Hill Camp in Mahopac, which is situated on 190 acres, idyllically bordered by a lake. Here, girl scouts have access to a wide variety of activities like boating, swimming, hiking, archery, and ropes courses, with the zip line being the latest addition.
When the Enterprise team visited Rock Hill Camp in May, they helped to construct the platform and foundation where the campers will board the line. “It felt amazing to be back at Rock Hill Camp, where I made many great memories as a Girl Scout and camper,” said Sara Matzkin, management trainee for Enterprise in Peekskill, via release. “This new activity will create lasting memories for campers and provide a greater appreciation for nature. We’re so glad to have participated in the process.”
Seconding that notion, Ryan Gilmour, area manager for Enterprise in Newburgh, added, “We’re looking forward to going back to the camp to see the progress.”
