As the demand for quality healthcare services grows across the region and in Dutchess County, along with a heightened desire to keep medical care accessible locally, Kirchhoff may have the solution. The Poughkeepsie-based real estate development, investment, and asset management firm recently unveiled proposed plans at a Town of Fishkill Planning Board meeting on September 12 for a new state-of-the-art medical care center in southern Dutchess County. The center, known as Fishkill Medical Park, could change the medical care climate in Fishkill and its surrounding communities if the proposal is accepted.
Not only is Kirchhoff a locally based firm, but the brand already has a well-established reputation for partnering with leading medical groups, hospitals, and physicians, proving itself to be uniquely qualified to navigate the development of Fishkill Medical Park.
Before Kirchhoff’s latest plans for the southern Dutchess County facility, the firm was responsible for projects of a similar nature throughout the Hudson Valley, including Northern Dutchess Hospital’s Rhinebeck expansion, HealthQuest at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, CareMount Medical Group in Lake Katrine and Rhinebeck, Mount Kisco Medical Group in Poughkeepsie, Premier Urology in Poughkeepsie, and the ever-evolving Eastdale Village in Poughkeepsie.
“Our firm deeply respects the need to undertake a thorough planning process and is committed to working closely with the town and the community to make Fishkill Medical Park a leading healthcare destination that properly addresses the needs of Dutchess County residents while creating an attractive environment befitting of this unique location,” says Joseph Kirchhoff, founder and CEO of Kirchhoff.
The proposed medical park would be located on Snook Road in Fishkill, which is adjacent to Route 9 and I-84, making it easily accessible for both private and public transportation. If accepted following the Planning Board and Town Board approval processes, Fishkill Medical Park will comprise two buildings on two lots that are set back from the main road to minimize visual impact.

The medical center’s first lot will include a 30,776-square-foot two-story building, while the second lot will feature an 11,310-square-foot single-story building. All in all, the facility will total 42,086 square feet and only use seven acres of the 32-acre parcel in an effort to preserve the natural landscape by leaving the remaining 80 percent of property undeveloped.
The project, which is still in pre-application phase, is expected to break ground in the summer of 2025 if it is approved.
“We look forward to working collaboratively with the Town of Fishkill and other stakeholders to ensure that the project significantly enhances medical access locally so that area families receive the quality healthcare they deserve,” affirms Kirchhoff.
