October promises to be an exciting month here in the Hudson Valley. As the days get shorter and the nights cooler, the leaf-peeping crowd should be out in full force. (Hopefully the soggy summer will contribute to more vibrant fall colors than we’ve seen in the last few years.) This month also marks the opening of the long-awaited Walkway Over the Hudson, the historic railway bridge-turned-linear park that is the touchstone of this year’s Quadricentennial celebrations.
