These three species of butterflies are all native to New York — and are part of the Greenburgh Nature Center’s current show. Aug. 2 & 9: Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. Wendy Darling is terribly upset — her father says she must move out of the nursery and therefore stop telling her brothers John and Michael stories. But on their last night together, a magical boy named Peter Pan flies through the window and takes the children to Neverland. Once there, they have terrific adventures with the Lost Boys, mermaids, and Indians — but they also have to keep a watchful eye out for evil Captain Hook. Filled with fun tunes from Disney’s 1953 film, this production is put on by kids for kids. 11 a.m. $9, $7 children. Glass Art
Aug. 25-29: Stained Glass Stained glass is a unique art form; its history, and the technique used to make it, go back centuries. Discover all the basics at this weeklong camp. Kids will (with adult supervision) design the glass, construct it, and cut it. Next comes copper foiling, soldering, and cleaning — until each participant has a unique and colorful piece to take home and display. Aug. 6-8: Pitcher’s Camp Does your future superstar pitcher still need a little help perfecting that cutter? Does his curve ball tend to go wild?
