The Ramble is a series of events that share the theme of celebrating the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area. Be a “Rambler” and choose from hiking, biking, touring historic homes, paddling a kayak through an estuary or on the Hudson itself, learning about Hudson River School artists, and experiencing military re-enactments.
The 18th annual Ramble takes place each weekend in September, with the last program on October 1. “Last year more than 150 organizations hosted roughly 4,000-plus Ramble events throughout the Hudson Valley, and an estimated 111,000 people participated,” says Elizabeth A. Campochiaro, Trails and Community Outreach Director for Hudson River Valley Greenway and the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
