The Location

Situated between the scenic Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River, Saugerties is an old factory town that offers a quirky downtown crammed with tiny shops, galleries, and restaurants. Other points of interest include the Saugerties Lighthouse, an 1869 landmark beacon on the Hudson River that now operates as a renowned bed & breakfast, and Opus 40, a bluestone sculpture park with walkable trails covering 6.5 acres.
