Bosnian-born Behida Dolic (she fled her small village in 1998 during the Balkan Wars and lived in Florence, Chicago, and San Francisco before settling in Hudson in 2009) makes each of her head coverings by hand. Known for her draping techniques, she stocks close to 150 styles — from cloches to wide-brims and everything in between — in her cozy 500-square-foot store, and also runs a thriving Internet business.
