Variations on the staple ciders are constantly popping up, including some that are super hoppy like an IPA, others that bone dry, and even hyper-sweet ice ciders inspired by German wine-making techniques. Joining Angry Orchard’s Cider Club enables patrons to sample limited-release experimental brews. Each quarter, the cider makers select three small-batch ciders, highlighting different fermentation techniques, apple varieties, and collaborations. Every selection comes with tasting notes, food pairing recommendations, and recipes that feature the included ciders.

Searching for fresh, Hudson Valley food? Wild Hudson Valley cultivates two hundred species of native plants and mushrooms on its 95-acre sanctuary. This year, it has expanded to offer CSA-style subscription boxes containing a diversity of traditional native produce and wild-stewarded edibles. Wild Harvest boxes showcase the flavors of the region, including blue flint corn, wild oyster mushrooms, beebalm-sweet fern tea, heirloom native pumpkin, and groundnuts, to name a few options from the autumn offerings. Subscription sign-ups begin in the spring of 2021, and the first pickups occur in April.
