The Great Ramen Challenge

Register your teens and tweens for Albany’s free ramen competition on Friday. Just in time for New Year’s Eve, the Capital region library hosts a cook-off for young chefs to ignite a friendly rivalry and see who can concoct the most unforgettable noodle dish of the day. Creativity and collaboration are encouraged, so feel free to bring friends.

Eggbert After Dark Volume III: Eggbert Strikes Back

Newburgh Brewing Company, Newburgh
December 28, 8-10 p.m.

On Friday, everyone’s favorite egg returns to Newburgh for round three of the brewery’s holiday festivities. To celebrate the limited-edition release of the last batch of Angry Eggbert IPA, Newburgh will serve and sell the seasonal brew for the last time in 2018. Taprooms doors open at 4 p.m., while Eggbert warms up to the crowd at 8 p.m. Plan on getting to the brewery early if you want to score a spot and a sip.

Upstate Concert

December 28, 8:30-11 p.m.

Formerly Upstate Rubdown, newly reborn band Upstate returns to the Hudson Valley for an intimate concert to perform its new music.
